Could entropy from cosmic structure growth solve the universe's biggest tensions?

Biswajit Pandey

May 27, 2026

As gravity sculpts galaxies and clusters, it converts gravitational energy into heat via entropy—a thermodynamic byproduct. This dissipated energy accelerates late-time expansion and weakens matter clumping, addressing two major observational puzzles (Hubble tension and low S₈) without new particles or modified gravity, all within standard General Relativity.
