Astronomers built a pulsar polarization array from MeerKAT radio telescope observations to hunt for axion-like dark matter particles in the Milky Way. Analyzing polarization patterns from the 50 best-quality pulsars over six years revealed no signatures of this dark matter in the mass range 10^−23 to 10^−20 electronvolts, but they pinned down more restrictive constraints on how these particles would interact with light than any previous study.
