Researchers used the Irish LOFAR station to monitor 33 pulsar candidates from recent surveys over three years, successfully timing 17 of them at 150 MHz. Seven of these pulsars had never been timed before, while the other ten matched timing measurements from other observers. The work demonstrates that individual LOFAR stations worldwide can handle long-term pulsar monitoring, reducing pressure on over-subscribed major observatories.
