Why cosmic neutrinos suddenly weaken at 30 trillion electron-volts

IceCube measured a sudden drop in diffuse cosmic neutrinos around 30 TeV, a feature unexplained by standard models. Protons accelerated to high energies colliding with soft X-rays produce this break through a physics resonance, naturally matching observations. This identification resolves a separate puzzle: why neutrino sources don't oversaturate the gamma-ray background.
