Teaching AI to paint like an artist, not copy a picture

PaintCopilot models painting as sequential artistic decisions rather than pixel-by-pixel reconstruction toward a reference image. It uses three neural models working together: one to infer what the artist intends, another to generate the next coherent brushstroke, and a third to suggest where to paint. Professional artists can interactively collaborate with the system, alternating control to co-create paintings through completion, inpainting, and stroke suggestion workflows.
