Is there a hidden 45-degree channel in Earth's tidal forces?

Standard tidal theory describes the Moon's pull as a simple stretch-squeeze along two perpendicular axes, but this paper borrows a structure from cross-polarized cylindrical gravitational waves to propose a small extra tidal component rotated 45 degrees from those axes. The proposed correction introduces a coefficient that controls the strength of this hidden channel without disturbing the familiar tidal pattern. Whether any such signal exists in real tidal data remains to be tested, but the framework offers a concrete, measurable prediction.
