A free toolkit now simulates radiation from wormholes too

Marco Calzá

June 4, 2026

GrayHawk, a public Mathematica tool for computing how fields scatter and radiate in curved spacetimes, gains two major upgrades: fully numerical tortoise-coordinate integration for metrics that resist analytic treatment, and support for wormhole geometries. The update means researchers can now probe Hawking-like radiation and wave propagation across a much wider zoo of exotic spacetimes without writing custom code from scratch.
