Removing negative weights from LHC pair production simulations

Simulating ZZ pair production at the LHC generates annoying negative weights in Monte Carlo events that slow down analyses. The MAcNLOPS method removes these by vetoing certain shower emissions, reducing the fraction of negative weights without slowing computation. Tests show the approach reproduces standard predictions across all observable types except in an unimportant low-energy region.
