A simpler way to gauge quantum field theories in two dimensions

In 2D quantum field theories with specific symmetries, you need the right multiplet to gauge isometries. This work shows a newly proposed multiplet is actually a constrained variant of the Large Vector Multiplet, and using it produces a system where a βγ system couples to a sigma model—connecting what looked like separate structures.
