Researchers designed stacked arrays of superconducting wires that emulate curved geometries by assigning quantum phases to each wire and coupling them via Josephson junctions. The scheme reproduces hyperbolic (negative-curvature) spaces and lets them measure how disorder scrambles the boundary-to-bulk correspondence predicted by holography. The effect persists even under strong disorder, suggesting the principle is robust.
