Do all brains organize visual memories the same way?

Researchers used fMRI data to extract how individual brains represent visual scenes, then asked whether these internal codes share a common geometry. By learning subject-specific embeddings from repeated viewings, they found that brain representations from different people could be aligned using simple geometric rotations—no paired data needed. This suggests the human visual cortex uses a universal coordinate system, like different translation systems for the same underlying landscape.
