Does network structure reveal hidden logic across brains, circuits, and math?

Vladi Ivanov

June 1, 2026

Vladi Ivanov tested whether network hub structure reveals functional organization across seven completely different systems: mathematics proofs, legacy software, animal brains, digital circuits, and prebiotic chemistry. Using betweenness centrality (which ranks nodes by how many paths flow through them), he recovered the logical structure domain experts recognize in each system. The pattern held: what neurons and circuits actually do maps onto how their dependency networks are wired.
