Could heat flow replace electricity in quantum computers?

Quantum dots tunnel-coupled to metal reservoirs can perform AND, OR, NOT and other logic operations using heat flow rather than electron charge. The design maps one-to-one onto classical electronic gate circuits, meaning existing circuit architectures could be translated directly. If experimentally validated, this opens a path to computing with thermal gradients — potentially useful in environments where charge-based logic is impractical.
